I had deleted her last month because some cowardly anonymous poster left a rambling post on my blog. I was so mad I couldn't even figure out how to delete their post, so I deleted the whole entry.
William and I visited the Museum of Art (El Museo de Arte) in Ponce last week for his birthday. Both of us had visited the museum separately in the past, but were so awed by the Rodin exhibit and of course, by Flaming June, we just walked around with our mouths wide open the whole afternoon.

It went on for pages and was just spewing religious justifications for racism, killing and on and on. I couldn't even read most of it, although it probably would have been better if I had. I need to figure out how these people think.

So many people love that painting. I had never heard of it until I went to the museum last month. Now, I've been three times!
The Flaming June was bought by Don Luis A. Ferre (former governor of PR and founder of this museum), and it was a not well known painting. With the pass of the years it has become the icon painting of the Museo de Ponce, I love that painting too!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! I've never seen this painting before but I am now entranced by it. I love that it is in Ponce.where some of my family was from. Someday, I will go see it in person.
